  • Individual Therapy

You don’t have to go through this alone.

Therapy is a powerful space to tend to your whole self and tap into not just your feelings, but also your needs, history, identity, fears, and strengths. I am a strong believer that “there are no bad parts, only burdened ones” (Richard Schwartz). I invite you to bring your whole, complicated self to the space and leave any masks at the door. In weekly counseling together, I strive to create a space of curiosity, collaboration, and safety that is tailored to the unique needs of each person.

My approach is grounded in relational-psychodynamic theory (how does your past impact who you are today and your relationships, including with me) and liberation psychology, and guided by trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

  • Teens & Young Adults (ages 13-25)

The teen and young adult years can be overwhelming, complex, & full of questions around identity, relationships, & how to feel safe in your own skin. I am here supporting and rooting for you through it all as someone who also experienced Zoom school (shudders). In therapy, we will create a soft space for you to land each week in the midst of a turbulent world and time in life. I am firmly dedicated to providing young people with space to express themselves openly and safely.

  • Walk-and-Talk Therapy

Let’s take things outside. For those located near Oakland, you have the option of choosing to do therapy outdoors with me at Lake Merritt where we will walk, talk, and enjoy all the benefits of being in nature and in-person.

How I Work

Life and people continuously inspire me as a magical, messy, resilient experience. I support people in understanding and naming what they’re needing at this time in their life, learning the stories and parts that shape who they are, and creating a space where they can be themselves and talk openly without judgement. My role is to help you feel more grounded and empowered.

My orientation is integrative, using psychodynamics with an emphasis on relational and attachment-based work. Basically, I focus on how early relationships and unconscious processes shape how we exist and connect with others today. As a relational therapist, I believe that one of the strongest tools that can be used in therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. Creating a safe, therapeutic relationship together becomes a grounding space to explore patterns, nurture insight, and support new ways of relating. My work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally attuned.

Additionally, I am dedicated to my own learning and unlearning processes to work towards anti-racism. I seek out supervision around working with neurodiversity, disability, and queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients; exploring privilege; and maintaining ethics and competence in private practice settings.

Whether you choose to work together or not, I am glad you are here. It would be an honor to be a part of your journey!
